Do not adjust your dial...

Since Becky isn't feeling up to posting much and everybody is yelling at her for updates, I'm going to help out and post occasionally.

A quick update on what has been going on with us.

  • I took the week of Thanksgiving off work, and we went down to Jacksonville to visit with the Rice/Carlson family. We also got to spend some time with GG, and have Thanksgiving in "the middle of nowhere" (Melvin) as usual. We had a great time and enjoyed seeing the whole Trimmer clan. We added a new tradition of going to another middle of nowhere (Blue Mound) to have Thanksgiving lunch/family reunion with Cindy’s extended family. Ryan also tried to add another new tradition – intra-family car accidents – but we all thought that should be a one-time thing.
  • The week after Thanksgiving, I went home and rolled bachelor-style while Becky and Alice stayed in Jacksonville for the week. Grandma Cindy was pretty busy, so they mostly hung out with Grandpa and Uncle Chuck.
  • The weekend of December 6th was the church bazaar and Christmas luncheon. We had fun looking at all the items for sale, eating chicken salad, spiced peaches and 4 Pringles. Charlie and I were the only men in a room of 100 old ladies - and a few young ones – Becky, Alice, JJ and Cindy.
  • While Becky and Alice were gone, I setup our tree and put on the lights. We decorated the tree when everybody was home, and Alice LOVED it, although the bottom of the tree had a few extra ornaments at first.
  • The weekend of December 13th was extremely busy (for us at least). Alice went to stay with Aunt Cathy and Uncle Bill on Saturday night. They went to Brookfield Zoo to see the animals and the Christmas lights. The weather didn’t really cooperate, but they had a great time. While we were childless, Becky and I went to a movie and out to dinner (and to breakfast). On Sunday, we went to Grandma and Grandpa Bathje’s house. Santa showed up to visit with all the little ones and bring them gifts. There were 9 kids in the house, and it was a riot.
Expect pictures of all this stuff soon. Here is one to tide you over:
>Alice obviously takes after some of her uncles. I'll let you decide which ones.

Matt, thanks for the update! I love it!

And I'm gonna have to side with Mike on this one; obviously the Bathje side. ;)

E - H - H - H!!! Wrong answer. There's at least one Grandpa in the mix here, and it isn't a Bathje. And... it is hereditary.

Heyyy nooooooowwww I'm a Bathje(not an uncle though) and I resent all your remarks about it coming from OUR side. If she was farting...now THAT I could see ..but I'm not sold on the nosepicking from our side....
