Happy Easter, love Alice!

Daddy made Alice "hunt" for her basket. It's a silly Bathje tradition that Matt insists on continuing despite the fact that Alice isn't mobile (or able to sit up on her own for any great length of time as this photo clearly illustrates) let alone able to grasp the concept of hunting.

FYI, this was Daddy's Easter basket when he was a kid. He got a little geeked when we dug it out of storage for Alice. It's so nice to finally have a use for all the crap that we've been saving.

The dress she wore was actually one I came across at Dad's house. He thought it was made for me by Grandma Rice so I did a little hunting, and sure enough right on the hem of the dress is a little tag that says "made with love by grandma". The bonnet was what we ended up going with after searching relentlessly through 4 department stores. No one had Easter bonnets, I couldn't believe it! Luckily Babies R Us saved the day. After all it wouldn't be Easter with out an Easter bonnet!

And I can't mention the dress with out mentioning spray on oxy clean. The dress had a few stains that I'm sure had been there since I last wore it. We use the spray on oxy clean religiously on all of Alice's clothes with good luck so I thought I'd try it out on this even though the stains were so old. Wouldn't you know it the stains actually came out! I was very impressed.

Alice seemed unimpressed with her loot. I'm sure this time next year she'll have a greater appreciation for plastic eggs and neon green grass.

Chillin out with Auntie Annie. She was extremely well behaved all day! Even in church (Alice...I don't know about Auntie)!

My FIL being the hilarious man that he is. I'm sure he was saying something funny here.

This kid is pretty used to getting passed around on the weekends.

This is the worlds most annoying toy, courtesy of Auntie Mary. I have to make sure to take the batteries out of that one. By the way, the sweater is one that Mrs. Tracey made for Alice. She's finally big enough to wear it, and boy did she need it since we had flurries that day! Who ever heard of snow on Easter?!
