well this kid is kicking the crap out of me!! i really don't mind considering i finally have something reassuring me every day that he/she is ok in there. it's truly amazing...i never thought i'd be so intrigued with every little kick. a week or two ago matt felt the baby for the first time. he was looking at me and said "THAT was the baby?!". he couldn't believe it. so now that the kicks are even stronger we sat on the couch last night with his hand on my belly just waiting for the little sucker to move. well of course after a day of constant kicking Angus (matt's pet name for the baby...) decided that he didn't want to move. so i ate some sugary stuff and finally after about an hour he was thumping the crap out of me again. matt still couldn't believe that he was feeling the baby move and not me moving my stomach muscles or something. it's such a cool experience.
anyway, i had my echo done last week. it was so incredibly painful and i was still bruised from it 3 days later. i just recently got the results and they didn't find anything wrong, so i don't have MVP. the bad thing is that now i have to wear a 24 hour heart monitor to see if that can find the problem. if it can't then i'll probably have to wear one for 3 months!! i hope i can talk my GP into giving me some meds for palpitations w/o having a diagnosis b/c i REALLY don't want to have to wear one until october! so i've got an appointment to get that put on saturday morning.
this weekend should be fun. we're going to attempt to paint the nursery, but that might not happen considering dad will be here on the 3rd. we have to prime first and then paint and knowing our luck we'd only get the priming done before he gets here and it would be such a pain to have to take down the plastic and tape so he could be in there just to have to put it back up again to paint the yellow. so we'll see. we may just get the room cleaned out and tape as much as we can w/o the plastic and then just wait until the following weekend to paint. anyway, dad will be here from the 3rd to the 5th and i'm excited to see him again. it feels like it's been forever since he's been here to stay. oh and on the 5th we have our repeat BIG ultrasound!! can't wait to see the baby again!!
