SHE'S HERE!!

ok so today is my official due date, but our beautiful daughter has been with us for almost a week now. Alice Ruth Bathje was born 10.24.06 at 3:51am. she weighed 7.8lbs and she was 21in long. mom went through a tough, long induction but it was certainly all worth it.

blogger isn't cooperating with loading pics, so i decided to create a photobucket account where all my friends and family could access new pics of alice. i'll still post here, but i want to share LOTS of pics and blogger just has a hard time uploading them all :). we don't have many on there yet, but we will shortly. the link is:

i'll also add this info to the sidebar. when you visit the site, just click on the picture to enlarge it, then right click and save it to your computer.

well i'm off. i've got to get grandpa off the couch and then go feed Alice.
love to all--

what the hell...it's only october!! i'm so not ready for snow.

and just for fun...this is my belly as of today. my shirt is too short to cover the panel on my pants, but it's FREEZING here and i don't have any maternity sweaters. :)

i scheduled my induction!

as of today i'm scheduled to go in at 6pm sunday the 22nd for the first of a two part induction. the 2nd part will be the next morning. if i progress more between now and then i may not need the first part so i'll just go in for the 2nd part on the 23rd. so that's 12 days and counting!! holy crap, 12 days!!! ahhh! i'm SO not ready.

appointment went well today. the NST was perfect as usual, BP was normal, and my OB thinks baby weighs around 5 1/2 lbs which is right on target. i go in for a growth u/s on friday though just to make sure everything looks good and to get a weight estimate. i'm still getting contractions, sometimes 5-10 minutes apart, but nothing that remains regular. no dilation change yet, but i'm now 70% effaced so at least we know the contractions are doing something!! things can change overnight, but it looks like i probably won't have baby before the induction date.

FULL TERM!!

woo hoo!! finally baby is considered full term as of yesterday. i have another OB appointment tomorrow so hopefully i'll be more dilated than i was last week (1/2 cm). i sure hope all the contractions i've been having are doing SOMETHING! i can't believe the end of this pregnancy is near...only 13 days until 39 weeks and the induction! i still don't have an exact date on that yet since we'll need to take into consideration my progress when scheduling that (whether i get a 2 part or 1 part induction) and if i remember correctly that will get scheduled next week.

will update tomorrow...hopefully i'll have made some progress!
